An apple orchard made the perfect location for these newborn twin girls. Their daddy sadly is deployed and won’t meet them for a few more months. This concept was developed with the ladies over at the Hampton Roads Creative blog. The 8 of us had the challenge to interpret the word “Apple” into a concept shoot. I adore outdoor newborn photography and wanted to bring in the natural elements of the orchard for this shoot. You can read more about this concept and the other 7 girls over at the HRC blog! It’s pretty amazing to me how 8 photographers can come up with something completely different using the same idea.

Saturday, September 1st, 2012Meet Baby S. You’ve seen his big brother and sister all over my blog as they are my boys beloved best friends. I’m so happy this little man is here. I’m getting my newborn fix with snuggles and newborn puppy grunts as often as like. I visited them in the hospital on his birth day and then we stumbled upon a magical little hidden hideaway at one of my favorite locations.

Thursday, July 26th, 2012Our crazy Hampton Roads weather had better plans for this newborn session when the skies became black and started raining buckets shortly after we started, making it impossible to shoot natural light indoors. We ended up rescheduling and venturing outdoors for part 2 of this session and I’m so glad we did. I adore outdoor newborn sessions. Check out the nursery though. Dad handmade the tree bookshelf which I am absolutely in love with!
